I am proud to stand before you as a candidate for the important role of Property Appraiser here in Collier County. With a deep-rooted commitment to place a “Fresh Pair of Eyes” on our approach to how we carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role of Collier County Property Appraiser.

My career has been rooted in accountability by serving to always do the right thing. As an attorney I have served as both a civil and criminal prosecutor in positions that required me to apply the law, protect the rights of people involved in legal matters, respect human dignity and fundamental rights, and ensure the public is adequately protected from wrong doers. I bring my values to this election.

Many have not recovered financially from Hurricane Ian, the Collier County housing crises and the last 3+ years of unprecedented inflation which shows no signs of lifting. After the Property Appraiser decided to retire after 60+ years of public service, the time has come to rethink the role of leadership in this important office. Like any skill, leadership evolves to fit how the world works today, and new techniques can be implemented for the greater good of the office and the public. As a modern leader I will work to meet the needs of today’s workforce and invest in training and development programs to help office staff obtain the skills necessary meet the modern needs of all property owners and taxpayers.

Please join me, Jim Molenaar, and let’s get a Fresh Pair of Eyes on the Property Appraiser’s Office! Your financial support is greatly appreciated, no donation is too small nor too large.
